Mr. Marc-Nicholas Quinn is a co-founding partner of the Ottawa personal injury law firm Quinn Thiele Mineault Grodzki LLP, Injury Lawyers, a practice dedicated to accident, injury, insurance and disability law.
Born and raised in Ottawa, Mr. Quinn has deep roots in the community he serves. Throughout his career, he was actively involved in that community through his support of educational organizations, including local law colleges and schools.
Now in his 29th year of practice, Mr. Quinn has built a reputation for advocating tenaciously on behalf of his clients and securing fair settlements in personal injury, disability and accident law matters. He is experienced and qualified to appear before all levels of court in Ontario, including the Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court and the Ontario Court of Appeal. He has appeared extensively before the courts and a range of administrative tribunals and has also worked within the legal department of a local municipal corporation.
His litigation experience spans personal injury, insurance litigation, disability law and general civil litigation.
Mr. Quinn is a determined and self-driven advocate, fully prepared and well experienced in taking on large corporations, insurance companies and major businesses on behalf of everyday people. As one judge described him, he is a “technical purist”—a lawyer who pays scrupulous attention to detail and is always ready to pursue justice for his clients with vigour. Naturally inquisitive, he is also a former licensed private investigator.
While Mr. Quinn has represented corporations and insurers earlier in his career, his practice today is devoted to the interests of victims of accidents—protecting their rights and obtaining the maximum compensation they deserve.
Fully bilingual, Mr. Quinn was appointed a court-connected Mediator by the Attorney General of Ontario in 2009. He has taught law clerks and paralegals at local colleges and has served as a guest lecturer at local colleges and before the University of Ottawa Law School Students’ Association. During his career, he also frequently spoke to corporations and businesses. In 2009, he received the prestigious Ontario Volunteer Service Award from the Provincial Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport, along with a Certificate of Appreciation for ten years of volunteer service from Lisa MacLeod, Member of Provincial Parliament.
Mr. Quinn is also the founder of the QTMG Injury Lawyers Annual Campaign against Bullying and Cyber-Bullying in Ottawa schools, through which he provides free online seminars and guidance to parents and students on the law of bullying and the Education Act.
